WHAT WE DO

Healing the Spirit Productions is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of Native American Men, Two-Spirit (2S) and their communities.

OUR MISSION

Healing the Spirit Productions is a national Indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving Indigenous Men’s Health by promoting and facilitating healthcare education through culturally relevant initiatives.

We recognize the unique challenges that Native American Men face, including higher rates of health disparities, which can be attributed to historical intergenerational trauma and inequity. These often contribute to higher death rates, depression, stress, and other social detriments of health. Our programs and services aim to address these issues while promoting healthy lifestyles, physical activity, and mental wellness through a cultural lens.

Healing the Spirit Productions connects Indigenous Men & Two-Spirit (2S) to cultural, spiritual, physical, mental health & wellness through community education, collaboration, and advocacy – inspiring and empowering them to live longer, healthier and happier lives.

WHAT WE DO

We partner with tribal communities, businesses and organizations across the nation to provide culturally relevant events, workshops, retreats, and resources that help Native American Men connect with their cultural heritage, promote cultural resilience, strengthen family ties, and ultimately improve their health and well-being.

We facilitate Active Engagement Programming (AEP) that encompasses our 4 Pillars of Health — which empowers Native American Men to improve their physical, mental, spiritual and cultural well-being by utilizing modern and traditional healthcare practices and cultural teachings. Our programming integrates Indigenous Foundations — which is health education awareness in the 4 Stages of Life; providing a structure to address the healthcare needs and begin to decrease the health inequities Native American Men face by age groups.

Health awareness information, disease prevention tools, screening programs, educational materials, and advocacy opportunities are ways in which we can support and empower Native American Men to take an active role in their health and wellbeing.

We facilitate programs which positively impact Indigenous Men’s Health through various stages and places of their lives, ie. where they live, work, play, and pray. Through awareness and education of modern medicine and traditional healthcare for men of all ages; the collective power to improve the quality of life becomes a reality. Together we can create ways to help healthy men transform into healthy families and healthy communities; building a healthier tomorrow.

Healing the Spirit Productions works to ensure diverse community perspectives are involved in creating change and championing policies and strategic plans, recommendations, and implementation of activities that address health disparities to form health equity.
